A friend put up the video on face book and I followed the whole story on youtube. And it is an incredible story in every sense of the word. I also watched the interview from 2008 and the part where you are asked – How, when no one had seen Christian for months, did he appear a day before you arrived. It reminded me of something in my life. I am in no way trying to belittle your story or emulate mine. I just wanted to share this experience with you. I had a cat that I got from a litter of kittens at the boarding school I attended. I brought him home from school loved him and cared for him over the holidays. Then when the holidays were over I would go back to school and my parents would take care of him and when I was back I could be with him again. In a year I typically came home for holidays 1 month over the Christmas break and 2 months in summer (April & May in India). When my cat was old enough he would go out on his own into the neighbourhood doing his own things – territory fights, killing squirrels, etc. After I would leave home for school he started being gone for long periods. My parents would get worried about him and tell me they hadn’t seen him for ages when they called me. But he would always be there when I got home. Waiting for me. He would leave a day or 2 after I left for school no one would see him for months and then he would just turn up a few days before I was due to return home. He would always return home before I came back. I don’t know how he knew I was coming back, but he was always home before I got there. Even when I would come home for shorter breaks in between, he would always be there at home waiting for me. He was the best friend I had and I will never forget him. I could go on and on about his stories and could easily fill a book with them. But I though it would be interesting to share this story with you after having watched the interview. Your story is such an incredible and beautiful story and what you did for Christian was so wonderful and inspirational. It is a truly remarkable story of love and friendship.
