I wanted to let you know that your book on Christian is one of my favourite books of all time.  I read it years ago in the 70’s.I believe and then twice more in more recent years.  I find so much to appreciate in your book. The innocence of you two young men taking on such a charge, and the innocence of the times in general.  Imagine, being able to purchase a lion from your local department store.  You two young men represent the
Innocence of those times so well. Long hair and bell bottoms,  and thinking that anything was possible, such as keeping Christian in the city in a furniture store no less, and then accomplishing your dream of getting him back to the wild… Impossible.

I’m sure you have heard all this before.  But I do want to thank you for sharing your odessey with beautiful Christian, he was a very fortunate boy.

May I ask a question about Christian.  What do you think happened to him?  I know you visited 2 times and the last I heard, he was never seen again.  Is this true?  Might he have relocated his family to somewhere else.?  Or is this unlikely.
